SoDakSHRM will receive recognition in SHRM publications and at conferences, a logo to display on its website, and information to share with its members about the significance of this award.
SoDak SHRM earned this recognition by setting and meeting 5 goals. SoDak SHRM increased chapter membership by reaching out to at-large SHRM members and encouraging them to join a local chapter. The state saw an increase of 2% across the state in national SHRM membership. The council enhanced the awareness of SHRM by supporting 3 teams in the HR games. The council was active in the state legislature through an experienced lobbyist who was able to keep the council and chapters updated on upcoming legislative items and provide information and advice for members to reach out to representatives.
